I understand that last minute changes in your schedule may be unavoidable and I will try my best to accommodate the last minute changes to the best of my ability. Appointments are made in mind to accommodate each client with a buffer in-between services. Unfortunately, a broken appointment results in wasted time for both the client and the notary.

The following situations will result in a cancellation and will incur a travel fee penalty:

• Cancellation notice less than 2 hours before the scheduled appointment

• Client no-show

• Lack of proper valid and unexpired photo identification

• Missing documentation

• All involved signers are not present

• Signer is unable to sign (ex: signer is unconscious, heavily medicated, inebriated, being pressured to sign by another person in any shape or form, not of sound mind, etc)

• Signer attempts to pressure notary to commit fraud or any illegal act that goes against Michigan notary law.

• Signer is unwilling to sign (ex: not being comfortable signing papers/deciding to go a different route)

Cancellations must be cancelled at least 2 hours prior to the appointment in order not to be charged and payment is expected upon receipt. Clients are free to reschedule within two weeks of the original appointment to avoid a second travel fee.

If repeated cancellations occur with the client, Platinum Notary Services LLC reserves the right to refuse services.
